Students become the catalyst for focusing the community spotlight on literacy through “Literacy by CREATIVITY”. The key components of this project are noted in the acronym “CREATIVITY” (Community Resourcefulness, Education And Technology Inspired Via Innovative, Talented Youth). Students will become directly involved in spreading literacy beyond their classrooms to all cultures, generations and sectors of their community. They will do this by participating in special events, creating video productions, and sharing literacy resources with other communities through Wikis and Blogs, video conferencing, and Bridgitt. SMART Boards will become a medium by which literacy will be promoted and strengthened, supported by District 16 expertise.
